Apartment listings, prices and reviews are scattered across dozens of platforms, and most of those platforms are trying to lease you something. This site pulls the information into one place so you can compare student apartments near campus on distance, listed rent and published resident reviews before you sign anything.
About the Creator
TuscaloosaStudentHousing.com was founded by Clay Shumate in early March 2026. As a local resident familiar with the Tuscaloosa area, Clay created this website to give students and parents a centralized place to learn about housing options near the University of Alabama campus.
What You’ll Find Here
- A browsable directory of Tuscaloosa student apartment communities, with prices updated regularly
- Individual community profiles covering rent, floor plans, amenities and resident reviews
- Neighborhood and ZIP code guides for the areas students actually rent in
- Plain-language guides to Alabama landlord-tenant law, including what your landlord is required to repair
- A free apartment tour and move-in checklist
- Video walkthroughs and campus-area tours
Independence and Accuracy
TuscaloosaStudentHousing.com is an independent website. It is not affiliated with the University of Alabama, and it is not owned by or affiliated with any apartment community, property manager or leasing agency covered on the site.
Rent, floor plans, availability and community policies change often, and published review scores move over time. Treat everything here as a starting point: confirm current pricing and lease terms directly with the apartment community or property management company before you apply or sign.
Nothing on this site is legal advice. The guides covering Alabama landlord-tenant law summarize the law in plain language for students. If you are in a dispute with a landlord, talk to a lawyer.
How This Site Is Funded
Some pages on this website contain advertising, affiliate links or partnerships that help support the operation of the website. These partnerships do not affect our goal of providing useful housing information to students and families.
