How did Alabama beat Southern Miss and Itawamba?
Against Southern Miss, Alabama trailed 3-2 going to the bottom of the seventh and won it in its last at-bat. Gerritt Griggs scored on a Brooke Wells sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh, and Torynn Slaugher drove in Noelani Livingstone with an RBI single. Kaitlyn Pallozzi threw 3.0 scoreless innings in relief and allowed two hits.
Against Itawamba, Alabama jumped ahead in the first. Ava Briski hit a bases-loaded double that drove in two runs. Livingstone scored on a Liv Keiter sacrifice fly in the sixth after leading off with a triple, and Salen Hawkins scored on an error in the seventh. Hawkins had two hits in the game.
