How did Alabama get here?

Alabama started 5-0 and was scoring at least 45 points in every game. That run ended on Oct. 10. Georgia ran for 206 yards, held the ball for more than 33 minutes, sacked the Tide four times and won on a field goal with 5:27 left. Alabama led 14-10 at halftime but scored only three points after the break.

What to watch Saturday

• Pass protection. Georgia’s four sacks stalled Alabama’s second half. Keeping the pocket clean on the road is the first test.
• Stopping the run. Georgia’s 206 rushing yards let it control the clock. Alabama needs to get its offense more snaps.
• The stakes. A second SEC loss would make Alabama’s path to the conference title game and the playoff much harder.
