What we film
Most of the videos fall into three groups. Property walkthroughs cover individual complexes near the University of Alabama — the unit, the shared amenities, and the walk or bus ride to campus. Neighborhood tours cover the areas rather than the buildings: the Strip, the blocks around Bryant-Denny, Northport across the river, and the Skyland and Rice Valley corridors to the east, which is usually the more useful decision to make first. Explainers cover the things students ask us about repeatedly — reading a lease, what a guarantor commits to, and how the Tuscaloosa leasing cycle rewards signing early.
How to use these alongside the written guides
Video is good for judging space and noise and bad for judging numbers, which change faster than we can re-film.
